The Olympic lifts (Snatch and Clean & Jerk) and their variations are a major part of any CrossFit program. They are utilized in Strength and Skill Development activities, as well as with Metabolic Conditioning. The lifts are also some of the MOST TECHNICAL movements that you will perform inside of Hybrid. Because of that, they require many hours of practice to be able to perform them safely and efficiently.
Hybrid will have classes where Beginners can get some coaching and practice to build technical proficiency in the lifts, and Intermediate and Competitive athletes can also receive coaching and programming to help increase their numbers and improve their lifting skills.
Hybrid’s Head Coach has extensive training in Olympic Weightlifting – and experience in competing in sanctioned weightlifting meets. The hope is to generate enough interest to have an Olympic Weightlifting competition team.
