This challenge will, hopefully, be the first of many that shows our gym members, our friends, our families…and ANYBODY else who wishes to participate…a simple, economical, and effective way to implement good nutrition into our daily lives as the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
90-DAY TIMELINE: The Challenge will last from Monday – March 4, 20019 until Sunday – June 2, 2019
ENTRY FEE: The Challenge will cost $60.00 to enter – plus the cost of the InBody body composition analysis at the beginning and the end of the Challenge. The initial analysis will be $30.00, and every one thereafter will be $15.00
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?: The Challenge is open to anybody in the Hampton Roads area AS WELL AS anyone outside of the Hampton Roads area with internet access. If you’re outside of the Hampton Roads area, times may be scheduled for phone calls or video calls for any quoestions or assistance that you may need.
FOOD/SLEEP/WORKOUT JOURNALING: Throughout the 90 days, participants will be asked to monitor and journal their meals, their sleep, and their physical activity. Once you are registered, you will be given access to Wodify – if you do not have access already – and you will be shown how to record the information on the software. Your Wodify account will be accessible from your PC, laptop, or from a free app uploaded onto your mobile device.
FACEBOOK CLOSED NUTRITION CHALLENGE GROUP: During the Challenge, all participants with Facebook profiles will have access to the closed group page with other participants – people who are taking part in the Challenge can offer support to one-another, hold themselves or others accountable, share recipes, and receive updates and information about the Challenge. The Owner/Head Coach of Hybrid Beach CF – Roman M Garanzuay – will also pass on articles and other information directly related to nutrition and the Challenge.
PRIZES/AWARDS: There will be prizes and awards given out at the end of the Challenge, but they WILL NOT be based off of total weight lost. As stated earlier – we will be trying to establish the practicing of a healthy lifestyle in all facets. Exactly how many prizes and awards handed out will depend on the number of participants in the Challenge and will be announced soon after it has begun. These prizes and awards will be primarily based off of CONSISTENCY – consistency with journaling your food, sleep, and physical activity.
INBODY BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS: Participants in the Challenge are encouraged to monitor body composition during the 90 days. It will not be required to take progress pics, measurements, or regular weigh-ins…but all of these would be beneficial to track individual progress during the Challenge. CrossFit Tidewater will provide an InBody body composition analysis before and after the Challenge. This is an accurate way to measure changes in your body fat percentage at the beginning and at the end of the Challenge. The InBody machine will also give you comprehensive results every time that you return for another scan. The initial scan will be $30.00 and every scan after will be $15.00 – this will not be a requirement to participate in the Challenge, but is HIGHLY encouraged as a way to measure overall results after 90 days.
90-DAY CHALLENGE MEETINGS/BRIEFINGS: If you’re in Hampton Roads and are taking part in the Challenge, we will have four chances to meet and discuss recommendations for meal plans and meal preparation strategies, as well as learn how to use Wodify to track your meals. We will also cover the methods that you will use to journal your sleep and workouts. If you have any other questions or concerns, we can address them at these meetings. If you’re unable to attend the scheduled meetings, you can get with the Owner/Head Coach at Hybrid Beach CF, who is also the one running the Challenge – Roman M Garanzuay – to schedule an individual meeting time whenever you have a chance. You may also do so during the 90-Days.

Remember that these meetings are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, but not required to participate. Also remember that you can schedule an individual or group meeting during the Challenge at any point – you only have to contact the coordinator – Roman M Garanzuay – to schedule.
